Tom Cruise's newest screen watch is a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time in pink gold, worn by his character in Digger , the Alejandro G. Iñárritu film Warner Bros. released in the US and UK on October 2, 2026. Digger has had a weak run, with about $46.8 million worldwide as of October 27 per Wikipedia, so this guide is about the watch, not a box-office story. We separate what is documented on screen (the Digger Vacheron, the Porsche Design in Top Gun, a Casio in the first Mission: Impossible) from a long off-screen collection list that is a secondary compilation. All prices are in US dollars.

The short answer

Confirmed : Gear Patrol identifies the Digger watch as a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time, ref. 7920V/210R-B965, 41 mm in 18K 5N pink gold with an Intense Green dial, priced at $88,000, and sees it at the start of the trailer. Luxury Tribune, in a sponsored article, names the same model. No formal film partnership has been announced. His Top Gun Porsche Design is documented in our Top Gun guide. His off-screen collection comes from one compilation and mostly rests on photographs.

Who wears what: quick reference

On screen: Top Gun and Mission: Impossible(1986 to 2025) Porsche Design Chronograph 1 by Orfina, black PVD; Casio DW-290 (DW290-1V); Breitling Avenger Chronograph 45
Off-screen collection(A secondary compilation) Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, platinum, ice-blue dial; Rolex Datejust 36, steel, white Roman dial; Rolex Sky-Dweller; Rolex GMT-Master II; Rolex Day-Date 40, white gold, meteorite dial; Panerai Luminor Marina; Cartier Santos, medium; Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, white gold

How we label the evidence

Confirmed means a costume designer, prop department, the brand or the show itself said so, or multiple reputable outlets agree and cite a source. Reported means a single reputable outlet or database reports it. We leave out other fan speculation, and where sources disagree we say so. All prices are in US dollars and are indicative; check current listings before buying.

Digger (2026) (Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time)

Gear Patrol (July 2026) says Cruise's character, Digger Rockwell, wears the watch at the start of the trailer as he sits in bed, and that Cruise also wears it in character on a promotional Time magazine cover made as an ad for the film. Gear Patrol gives the reference as 7920V/210R-B965, a 41 mm case in 18K 5N pink gold on an integrated bracelet, a lacquered sunburst Intense Green dial, a Calibre 5110 DT/2 automatic, a 12-hour second time zone with an AM/PM indicator at 9:00, 150 m water resistance and a date set by a pusher at 4:00. The price it gives is $88,000.

Watch Reference Evidence Where it's documented Price (US)
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time, pink gold, Intense Green dial 7920V/210R-B965 Confirmed Digger (2026): in the trailer's opening shot and on a promotional Time cover, per Gear Patrol. Luxury Tribune (July 23, 2026), an article labelled as made in partnership with Vacheron, names the model and says the rose-gold version was unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2024 $88,000 (Gear Patrol, boutiques and authorized dealers); about 91,000 euros (Luxury Tribune)

Two cautions. First, the second source is sponsored content, so the evidence for the model is one independent outlet plus Vacheron-linked material. Second, we found no announcement of a formal partnership between Vacheron and the film, so the placement looks deliberate but is not officially described as one. We did not verify how often the watch appears in the finished film. For the brand and the Overseas line see our Vacheron Constantin Overseas history and the Vacheron Constantin brand page, and for the family's newest releases our news posts on the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin and the Overseas 34.5 mm.

On screen: Top Gun and Mission: Impossible (1986 to 2025)

Two earlier screen watches are documented. Maverick's black Porsche Design Chronograph 1 by Orfina is covered in detail, with sources and the question of whether it is Cruise's own, in our Top Gun watches guide. For Mission: Impossible, the first film is the best-supported entry. The Breitling story for the later films is thin.

Watch Reference Evidence Where it's documented Price (US)
Porsche Design Chronograph 1 by Orfina, black PVD Not settled (see Top Gun guide) Confirmed Top Gun (1986) and Top Gun: Maverick (2022). Watchonista lists it too; the sourcing and reference debate are in our Top Gun guide Vintage pre-owned $2,700 to $9,000 (Chrono24, undated, per our Top Gun guide)
Casio DW-290 (DW290-1V) DW290-1V Reported Mission: Impossible (1996), as Ethan Hunt's own watch when he is not wearing team gear. Watchonista and a costume write-up agree; we found no production statement. Some lists wrongly call it a G-Shock About $55 (retail, June 2025, one outlet)
Breitling Avenger Chronograph 45 A13317101B1A1 Uncertain Loupe lists it as Hunt's watch for Dead Reckoning and The Final Reckoning but gives no citation, and we found no second source. We could not tie it to a scene N/A

Loupe also names a Breitling Chronomat 13050 for the franchise in general. We left it out because it names no film. Ethan Hunt's watches in the later films are more speculative than the first film's Casio.

Off-screen collection (A secondary compilation)

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in white gold

The longest list comes from Watchonista's “The Unlikely Watch Collector: Tom Cruise” by Rhonda Riche (July 1, 2026). It is a compilation of sightings, mostly photographs and television appearances, not a statement from Cruise or his team. The article says he was never a brand ambassador for any of the watches. We repeat only the items for which it gives a reference and context, and we mark all of them as reported or lower. Photographs show a watch on a wrist at an event; they do not show ownership.

Watch Reference Evidence Where it's documented Price (US)
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, platinum, ice-blue dial 116506 Reported Seen while promoting Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025), per Watchonista Not given
Rolex Datejust 36, steel, white Roman dial 16200 Reported Seen at the Valkyrie press conference (2009), per a photograph cited by Watchonista Not given
Rolex Sky-Dweller 326934 Reported Photographed leaving The Dorchester, London (2022), per Watchonista Not given
Rolex GMT-Master II 126719BLRO Reported On Jimmy Kimmel Live while promoting Top Gun: Maverick, per Watchonista Not given
Rolex Day-Date 40, white gold, meteorite dial Not stated Uncertain Watchonista says it “seems” to be his latest purchase and gives no context Not given
Panerai Luminor Marina PAM00299 Reported Seen on The Oprah Winfrey Show finale (2011), per Watchonista Not given
Cartier Santos, medium Not stated Reported Public appearances promoting Top Gun: Maverick, per Watchonista Not given
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, white gold Not stated Uncertain Listed by Watchonista with no context or source. Do not confuse it with the Digger Dual Time Not given

The same article also lists a Graham Chronofighter Diver, a Bremont ALT1-C, a Cartier Calibre de Cartier Chronograph and an unidentified blue-dial watch worn at Cannes in 2022. We did not verify any of these, and it says he owns “too many” Daytonas to list. Loupe separately lists a Rolex Explorer II 226570 and an IWC Big Pilot 43 Top Gun for events, uncited, and we left them out.

Context: reading the sources

Placement is not partnership. A watch on a character is a costume decision. We found no announcement from Vacheron, Warner Bros. or Cruise's team describing the Digger placement as a formal deal, and the Luxury Tribune article is labelled as made in partnership with Vacheron, so treat it as brand-linked.

Sightings are not ownership. Most of the off-screen list is photos at premieres and talk shows. Cruise may have been lent a watch, or the identification may be wrong. We say “seen” when that is all we have.

Myths and mix-ups, corrected

  • “Digger is a hit, and the Vacheron is why.” As of October 27, 2026 the film had grossed about $46.8 million worldwide (Wikipedia) against a reported budget of $125 million to $180 million. The watch is documented; any sales effect is not.
  • “Vacheron and Tom Cruise have an official partnership.” We found no such announcement. One article is labelled as made in partnership with Vacheron, which is not the same thing.
  • “Ethan Hunt's 1996 watch was a G-Shock.” Sources point to a standard Casio DW-290, not a G-Shock, though no production source confirms it.
  • “He wears a Rolex Daytona in every film.” The Daytona claims we found are off-screen sightings, such as the platinum 116506 during Final Reckoning promotion, not film props.

We did not verify Vacheron's own materials, any Warner Bros. statement or Cruise's ownership of any watch.
