Bosch Watches: Harry's Rolex Submariner and the Stolen Omega

Bosch is a police procedural where the lead wears a Rolex and the rest of the squad wear Casios. This guide covers the original series, Bosch: Legacy and the spin-off Ballard , and includes the one watch that drives a story: the stolen Omega in Legacy season 2. Every identification is marked by how well it is documented, and none of the worn watches reaches CONFIRMED.

The short answer

Harry Bosch is reported to wear a Rolex Submariner , possibly a 116610LN in later seasons, but we found no costume, prop or brand statement confirming it. Other characters wear inexpensive Casio and Garmin watches, and the plot watch is an Omega whose model is never named. Early seasons may use a different Rolex than later ones.

Watches in the story Omega (model never named)

How we label the evidence

Confirmed means a costume designer, prop department, the brand or the show itself said so, or multiple reputable outlets agree and cite a source. Reported means a single reputable outlet or database reports it. We leave out other fan speculation, and where sources disagree we say so. All prices are in US dollars and are indicative; check current listings before buying.

Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver)

Watch-ID calls the Submariner a co-star, shown constantly with sleeves rolled. One blogger says the script explains it by money Bosch earned as a technical advisor on a film. That reading is the blogger's, not a production statement.

Watch Reference Evidence Where you see it Price (US)
Rolex Submariner Date (black Cerachrom bezel) 116610LN in later seasons, hedged by watch-id (“seems to be”) Reported Worn through Bosch and Bosch: Legacy per watch-id, with stills from Bosch S7E3 and Legacy S2E5. Spotern lists a Legacy S1E7 Rolex as unidentified ~$11,000–$13,000 typical asking; range $9,600–$14,675 (WatchPatrol); discontinued 2020
Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 (early seasons, theory) 16600 Uncertain Forum speculation from search summaries only: the early seasons may show a Sea-Dweller, possibly a prop —

Claims that Welliver confirmed this is his personal watch trace to a Q&A page and a forum post with no primary link. We have not used them.

Maddie Bosch (Madison Lintz)

Maddie's watches fit a young patrol officer: a cheap digital Casio and a running smartwatch.

Watch Reference Evidence Where you see it Price (US)
Casio W-87H-1V W-87H-1V Reported Bosch: Legacy, per IMWDb and watch-id. No episode is listed ~$15–$30
Garmin Forerunner 235 Forerunner 235 Reported Bosch: Legacy S2E3 “Inside Man” per IMWDb. The page does not name the character $70–$150 used; discontinued

Officer Reina Vasquez (Denise G. Sanchez)

A duty beat-cop tool watch.

Watch Reference Evidence Where you see it Price (US)
Casio G-Shock DW-9052-1BCG DW-9052-1BCG Reported Bosch: Legacy S2E5 “Hollywood Forever” per IMWDb, which gives no sources ~$60 for a related DW-9052-1B at retail; $185.99 for the exact reference at one marketplace seller

Danielle Larracuente (Character not listed on IMWDb)

We do not assume a character name here.

Watch Reference Evidence Where you see it Price (US)
Casio CA-53W-1 calculator watch CA-53W-1 Reported Bosch: Legacy S2E7 “I Miss Vin Scully” per IMWDb ~$22–$37

Renee Ballard (Ballard) (Maggie Q)

The spin-off's detective wears no-nonsense night-shift gear, per watch-id.

Watch Reference Evidence Where you see it Price (US)
Casio F-105W-1A F-105W-1A Reported Ballard episode 2 per watch-id, whose page does not name the character ~$18–$30

Jerry Edgar, Irvin Irving, Grace Billets, Eleanor Wish, Honey Chandler and others (Jamie Hector, Lance Reddick, Amy Aquino, Sarah Clarke, Mimi Rogers)

No source we found identifies a watch for these characters. IMWDb lists only five Bosch watches in total.

The stolen Omega in Bosch: Legacy

One watch drives a story in Legacy season 2, episodes 7 and 8 (“I Miss Vin Scully” and “Seventy-Four Degrees in Belize”). The story names Omega but never the model.

Watch Reference Evidence In the story Price (US)
Omega (model never named) Not stated Confirmed A tan line and a photo of an empty watch case lead Bosch to a watch shop and then to Dr. Schubert, who reportedly pawned it to the Nguyen brothers over gambling debts. Lexi Parks learns it was stolen and threatens an investigation. The Nguyens are murdered soon after Bosch visits. Recaps disagree on who bought the watch from the Nguyens Not applicable

The brand is documented in two independent recaps (What to Watch and High on Films), but we did not view the episode. The buyer detail is unresolved between them.

A cop's Rolex and the cheap watches around it

Bosch splits its watches by rank. Harry's reported Submariner is a hard-won luxury tool watch, and the officers around him wear Casios and a Garmin. We found no source stating which watch Harry wears in Michael Connelly's novels, so we make no claim about it. For a show where watch choices are used to signal status, see Succession.

Low-quality sites also claim a Seiko, an Invicta or a Sinn 356. We found no support for any of them.

Real-world watches that echo the ones above, with indicative US prices. These are editorial suggestions, not watches from the show.

Myths and mix-ups, corrected

  • “Honey ‘Chewy’ Chandler.” The character is Honey “Money” Chandler.
  • “Welliver confirmed it is his own watch.” The claim traces to a Q&A page and a forum post, with no primary source.
  • “Bosch wears a Seiko, Invicta or Sinn 356.” These claims come from low-quality sites.
  • “The 116610LN is worn in every season.” It is a hedged identification for later seasons only.
